Pants!

Jeremy Paxman has recently spoken out about men’s underwear
"Like very large numbers of men in this country, I have always bought my socks and pants in Marks and Sparks.
"I've noticed that something very troubling has happened. There's no other way to put this. Their pants no longer provide adequate support.

As a single mum I have to buy Cs pants. I have progressed on from buying Thomas the tank engine ones, but there are so many different sorts to choose from, and being a girl...i dont know what I should be buying!

Any suggestions welcome

Thongs?

Briefs?

Mmmmm but maybe not!

All my boys used to wear boxer shorts. silky ones. But now that they are more active (sports mostly) they have all switched to underpants... with 'boy legs'.... kinda like stretchy cotton short leg shorts... they are 'comfy' I'm told and hold 'everything' just SO. LOL They have extra 'support' in the front, but NOT an opening for their wizzer. Laughing me head off now! Hope that helped!

Hmmm, let me clarify, like the briefs but with a bit more leg length. No Y front ....

I think what chris h is talking about is called "boxer briefs" They are like boxers but snuggier. Matty loves them too. He like the feel of full coverage without flapping around.

The "boxer briefs" are the go here as well - apparently a good mix between the two!

Although Jack would prefer nothing at all if he had the choice (we've had to try and explain that sometimes he needs to)!!!

Casdok said...

Yes C also would prefer no clothes at all!!

Omg! Get the top ones def!! both my boys prefer to show all and not wear any pants!!! But if they have to wear something then the first choice would be boxer shorts. (baggy ones!) W although has a thing about ladies satin knickers! always tries to sneak some out in his pocket as he loves the feel of them. (dread to think the looks his teachers would give!)

I was told that the "tighty whities" makes the "twins" body temperature rise and can actually cause sterility. I don't know if that's true but it might be something to research.

Now if you are asking MY preference. I don't like thongs on men, but that 3rd pic.....I might be able to force myself to live with!

Even though my son would prefer to be naked, we've found that he seems to like boxer briefs the best. (http://www.johnlewis.com/jl_assets/product/000001129.jpg
for a very nice picture...not my son!)

They seem to be snug enough to be comfortable for him, and we like them because they "restrict access" a bit more than ordinary boxers.

You little minx, I bet you enjoyed finding those photos! hehe!

My boys are still in briefs, but when they are older, I reckon I'd put them in boxer style briefs.

My hubby loves his boxers but sometimes things peek out that perhaps shouldn't

Talks some talking to convince him that just because they are shorts does not exempt them from underwear status and other clothing must be worn over the top when we have guests.

boxer briefs do tend to keep 'things' in place, so that's a wise choice :)

I'm no expert on pants but comfort seems to be the main factor here. Husband likes boxers, son prefers anything worn in and ideally not ever changed. Honestly, the problems I have - sadly, no Paxman like issues, though.

my son doesn't like boxers cause they get all scrunched up when he is wearing jeans..and he always feels like he is free-balling and will get his knob caught in the zip..(this is a direct quote here casdok)

briefs are the go but not too tight or your balls get all sticky..

there you go sweety straight from the horses ass err mouth as it were..

cheers kim..

wow. this is my kind of post. i love the pics. lol what a way to start my day. :) thank you.
i know that my hubby wears boxer-briefs, they are like a boxer b/c they are longer in the leg, but like a breif b/c they are tighter and give more support. they don't bunch and ride up like boxers either and are really comfy (i guess) my little 4 yr old also like to wear this kind... although he only likes them b/c of his dad wearing them, he has never worn boxers, too little still and he does were just briefs for me too. I think it may be a personal preferance, but I would think that most would like the boxer-brief. :)
Thanks again for sharing the pics. :)
hugs, jenn

Boxer briefs is what J likes to wear too. I agree with elissa, it seems to be a good mix of the two that J likes best.

I love the last ones but you're right, not for everyday wear.

I used to work for a urologist. One of the things he always emphasized to men was - SUPPORT. Boxers and going commando tend to allow gravity to work it's magic on "the boys" so that later in life when a man sits on the commode in the early morning, "the boys" tend to get a very cold bath.

Tighty Whiteys - ALWAYS!

Hmm...Boxer briefs sounds like a good option. Haven't bought them for my guys but will consider it in the future.

Boxer briefs.

Boxers alone let your balls stick to your legs.

This is not good, and usually requires shifting or picking of said stuck genitalia.

This does not bode well for promotion opportunities in the workplace.

Briefs give you wedgies.

(see "picking" statement above)

Boxer-briefs are the best of both worlds.

Non-ball-stickage and no-up-your-assage in one simple pair.

So many choices. Maybe a loincloth would work :)

Boxer shorts here as well although Robot Boy has now left home to go to Uni and has a girlfriend - so he buys his own pants . . . he was never interested before and wouldn't throw them out when they were hanging off the waistband . . . how things do change.

Hey Girl I would definetly say the thong is out. My boys were the boxers or the boxer briefs but at times they have also worn pants that are down almost to there knees so what do they know right.

My husband likes Boxer-briefs, but he also wears boxers

I don't have any boys,...but hubby prefers boxer briefs. Just don't let him know i told you :)

my boy is a fan of boxer briefs, they fit close but extend down the thighs a bit like shorts.

Those little cotton boxer briefs have lots of colours and G loves them. He's 5 ft 8 but still wears soccer ball and football undies and no one seems to make fun of him for it. I think it depends on the brand and how 'cute' the pic is on them.

I think Jeremy's bragging. When I was in England in the autumn of '06 one of my destinations was M&S so I could get some briefs (which is what I wear) to bring home with me. They are as good as they were when I lived in the UK.

briefly, briefs are the thing around here

Three boys here, including the husband. Husband likes the boxer briefs, teen likes boxers and little guy likes his tighty whiteys.

mmmm, thanks for the eye candy this morning.....

I am contemplating my own line of ASD underpants. Just got to work out of way of preventing hands getting down there but enough give to not cut off circulation to the lower half of the body...

Well! Such an education I'm getting from some of the comments —fertility, career advice, fashion even! ROFL. Now I undersatnd why my husband likes his boxer briefs!

It's tighty whiteys here. Well, tighty whiteys with Spiderman.

N3S and Chopper prefer trunk style boxers.

I had always worn regular briefs, but tried boxer briefs. I did not like how they restricted my movement, and so I ended up throwing them out. I even tried bikini underwear and ended up throwing those out too as they did not have enough coverage. I am hoping they don't quit making regular briefs...

Ellee Seymour said...

Excellent ideas here, how funny. Men and their briefs are not the most sexy combination usually.

Adrian is also a prefer to be naked but will tolerate boxer briefs for short periods of time.

Interesting comments! I have learned a lot about the usefulness of the boxer brief today. All my boys wear regular boxers but now I'll ask their advice since I do all the shopping.

TC loves regular briefs but he wears them with boxer briefs on top at night sometimes! WEIRD.

Jim said...

I don't like boxers but I am the briefs kind of guy :)

Thongs would work for me in my younger days when I had the body.

Belated response - but boxer briefs are a great compromise.
