Londons Winter Wonderland

C and i had a really lovely day out in London's Hyde Park yesterday. This is one of our usual routes (we have to stick to the same ones).

I like our Hyde Park route as even though we always go the same way there is always something different to see.

And yesterday was no exception, they had made a Winter Wonderland for kids.

C was really excited and didn't know which way to look or how high to jump!! (Theres a short clip on our You tube)I think it was because all the kids were tied down!

Or penned in!

We had a well deserved lunch in the same pub we always go to, and C always eats the same thing.

C seems to be doing a good impression of reading the menu, but hes actually studying a picture of drinks!!

We then went back and looked at it all again!

C had such a super time people feet watching, his smile on the way back said it all. So whilst he cleaned the train windows with his tongue i was inspired to write this.

Some morn for the child
They thought they lost,
But I wouldn’t change
My miracle son for any cost.

His smiles are priceless
His touch I cant describe,
The love I feel for him
Makes me well up inside.

His ear piercing shrieks
Are a joy to hear,
When he looks deep in my eyes
I feel our souls so near.

When you truly accept
For who they are,
The good times
Out weigh the hard by far.

I am not able to have many friends
The public look down their nose.
The gifts C has brought me
Make up for all of those.

The miracle of child birth
Still amazes me.
I made such a beautiful son
He’s perfect - my C

I am glad you guys had such a fabulous time. How is it that I didn't know you had a youtube station? Oh well, I've subscribed now so keep posting the short videos - I like to be able to see C in action! I wanted to share with you something that is going on in my state regarding a school for disable girls/boys. http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2006/05/22/a_question_of_tough_love_vs_torture/

If you can't click on the link maybe you can cut and paste it. If that doesnt' work then do a search for the Judge Rotenburg Center in Canton Mass. They have just been relicensed for one year to use this shock treatment - I can't believe it. I'd like to know what you think.

Have a Happy Christmas Casdok and C!

Your poem has almost brought me to tears. At a time like now when one of my daughters is facing the possibility of ovarian cancer at age 27 and single, I don't know who's more scared. I've often thought about that movie "Sophie's Choice," starring Meryl Streep and how she was forced to choose which child to lose and which to keep. How could anyone choose? How could you love one child more than another. But I've concluded that the one I love the most - at the moment - is the one who needs me the most, the one who's going through some sort of trial, the one who didn't get the advantage of "normalcy" or got stuck with some sort of chronic "illness" or "syndrome." So with apologies to my older daughter who has a good life with a husband and son who love her and who is expecting a new "normal" baby soon, today I have to love Jaclyn more. I think you can understand what I mean by that. I pray you have a very lovely Christmas with your beloved son.
