C says it all!!

A drink driving reminder for everyone this christmas.

C is like this with everyone - not just my family! He would like a wordless wednesday everyday!

So what do you think he is saying?!

This weeks winner goes to Her Indoors!

Any ideas what this dress is all about if you didnt see the news yesterday??

Wonder if it could be useful for non verbal autistic children??!!!

I love the handicapped parking spot.

I think he is saying that he only wants to participate to a point. :)

What a great picture of him on the teeter totter.
I can so relate to him. I wonder if this is how a lot of people live their lives on the inside?

You get him on so many levels. More so than most Parents...
You are such a good Mom.
He's very lucky to have you.

I think he is saying that he is happy to be close to everyone and happy to be included. He is also saying that he is happt that people let him participate in his own way.

I totally love the picture of C on the teeter totter.

Me to!
Teeter totter is an amusing word! We call it a seesaw over here. And sadly they are going out of fasion as they are deemed to dangerous!

He is smart, he's making sure he is the focus of the picture in a very subtle way. =)

That is a very interesting parking space!

Wow that handicap note is awesome. I doubt we'd ever see anything like that over here though. People would take offense and cause a muck.

The disabled warning does make you think doesnt it. I wonder how many people will take notice.

C is thinking, "Oh no! Here comes another group of people with blurred-out faces!"

I think he's saying, "You do your thing and I'll do mine."

As an aside, a friend of mine gave me a book, Strange Son. Have you read it? I'm not sure whether I like the woman or not as I progress through the story. I'd be interested in your thoughts.

Casdok said...

Thanks Wooly. Gone are the days when i had to read every book about autism that came out! So no havent read it! I just looked up a review on it, which said, if you are not into curing autism this book will annoy you!

My daughter needs a new frock for the wedding, that would certainly be quite a hit.

no chance of drink driving in Oz, the cops are out in force all the time! (Not like back home!) Oh and on this trip, I've realised I haven't got you blogrolled!!!! (I'm not relying on bloglines to read posts while away.) I shall fix that right now!

Very nice job getting point across with handicap sign. I think the dress looks turqoise (calm and relaxed). hmmmm...very interesting.

Great pictures! I would have to agree with Jan - C. is calling the shots and determining how much of a participant he wants to be - quite smart! I have slowly been going through some of your archives and find you to be very informative, as well as a fabulous mother and advocate for your child - C. is very lucky! Hope you have a joyous holiday season.

That first pic is great!

"So what do you think he is saying?!"

He doesn't mind that others are around him as long as he can ignore them for the most part and they don't get in his face.

I'll drink on Christmas, but I'll stay home to do it. On the few occasions that I think maybe I drank too much at beer church I take a taxi home.

My wife with the loose wiring got DUI's and wrecked every car we owned over the years, that was enough to deal with.

In fact I'll be talking about that in my Thursday post.

That parking sign is amazing - sharp, to the point and leaves you with your jaw hanging open. Job done (hopefully).

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

some of us over here call it a seesaw too. :-)
that dress...i dont know- I'm afraid of what colors I'd emote most days!

I think c is saying this to himself:
"They don't know this but I keep the whole family balanced".

Peace

Your photo of C is endearing. He's there and a part of the family; he's just participating in his own way.
